September is here, and it’s the perfect time to reset, recharge, and get back into your routine after the whirlwind of the holidays. That’s why I’m so excited to invite you to my Back to School Challenge—a 7-day journey designed to help you ease back into your fitness routine with just 20 minutes a day. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started, this challenge is for you!

Here are my top 10 tips to make the most of this challenge and set yourself up for success:

1. Set Clear Intentions 🌟

Before you dive in, take a moment to set your intentions. What do you want to achieve by the end of these 7 days? Whether it’s boosting your energy, improving your flexibility, or simply getting back into a consistent routine, having a clear goal will keep you motivated.

2. Create a Dedicated Space 🧘‍♀️

Carve out a little space at home where you can move freely. It doesn’t need to be big—just a spot where you can stretch, flow, and focus without distractions. This will help you get into the right mindset every time you press play.

3. Schedule Your Workouts 🗓

Treat your 20-minute sessions like important meetings. Block out time in your calendar, whether it’s first thing in the morning or a midday break. Consistency is key, and having a set time makes it easier to stick with it.

4. Stay Hydrated 💧

It’s easy to forget, but staying hydrated is crucial, especially when you’re moving your body every day. Keep a water bottle nearby and sip throughout the day to keep your energy levels up.

5. Embrace Variety 🌈

One of the best things about this challenge is the variety—yoga, pilates, cardio, barre, and more! Each day brings something new, so embrace the mix and enjoy the opportunity to try different styles. It’s a fantastic way to keep things fresh and fun!

6. Listen to Your Body 🧘‍♂️

This challenge is for all levels: beginners will be able to take it easy, and avanced Squad members will be able to make it more intense. For this challenge, the goal is to move and feel good, not to push yourself to the brink. Take breaks, rest when you need to, and celebrate every step forward.

7. Connect with the Community 🤗

You’re not in this alone! Join “The Squad” WhatsApp group to share your journey, swap tips, and stay motivated. Connecting with others who are on the same path can make all the difference and keep you accountable. (Members will receive a link to the group when the challenge starts)

8. Celebrate Small Wins 🎉

Every day you complete a workout is a win—so celebrate it! Whether it’s a post-workout stretch, a healthy snack, or a moment of gratitude, acknowledging your progress will keep you motivated throughout the week.

9. Prepare Your Gear Ahead of Time 👟

Lay out your workout clothes, yoga mat, and any equipment you need the night before. This simple step eliminates excuses and makes it easier to jump right into your workout without hesitation.

10. Keep the Momentum Going 🚀

The Back to School Challenge is just the beginning. Use this week to kickstart your routine, and let the momentum carry you forward. By the end of the 7 days, you’ll be feeling stronger, more energized, and ready to take on whatever comes next!

The Back to School Challenge is more than just 7 workouts—it’s a way to reset, refocus, and reclaim your routine after the holidays.

Ready to jump in? Sign up now and let’s make this September the start of something amazing!

I’m here cheering you on every step of the way. Let’s do this together!

Every Summer, I send my subscribers a list of my top recommendations ! Whether you’re lounging by the pool, exploring new destinations, or simply enjoying the warm weather from your backyard, I’ve got a fantastic selection of recommendations to make your summer even more unforgettable !

If you are a hard working entrepreneur like me, this will help you put together “systems” and will motivate you to work towards excellence no matter what challenges you face. It will also reassures you that once you have done everything you can, the rest (success) will follow 🙂

2. A delicious Summer Drink

Cucumber Mint Limeade

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and chopped
  • 15 grams fresh mint leaves (about 1/4 cup)
  • 120 ml fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
  • 45 ml honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 750 ml cold water (3 cups)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Ingredients:
    • In a blender, combine the chopped cucumber, mint leaves, lime juice, honey or agave syrup, and 250ml (1cup) of the cold water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the Mixture:
    • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any solids.
  3. Add Remaining Water:
    • Add the remaining 500mL (2 cups) of cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
  4. Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Cucumber Mint Limeade over the ice. Garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs.
  5. Enjoy:

1. Meilleurs nouveaux restaurants

Principe

Very cool vibes super patisseries !

3. Mes fitness spots préférés

Modo

1. Best new restaurants

Principe

Nestled in a space that once housed a photography gallery, it’s Fashionable week everyday at Principe. As to the cuisine, it is Italian-inspired and focuses on seafood. Love this place !

St Theo’s

I loved everything at St Theo’s ! It is located in the West Village, the food was exceptional (probably the best cooked pasta I have ever eaten), the service was impeccable, AND they have an outdoor space ! Careful, however: the inside it very noisy, so if you’re looking for something calm, that is definitely not the place to be

Holiday Bar

I won’t be able to describe it better, so let me copy paste from their website here: A NYC restaurant with 80s accents, Alex Katz art, and a killer playlist, located in the West Village. Says it all, no ?

2. My favorite coffee shops

Ants coffee

This coffee shop is located in Williamsburg, has Oatly, and an outdoor space. Do I need to say more ?

PPL

Also located in Williamsburg, this is a very cute coffee shop that also has Oatly and lots of plants for the days you’re missing nature. No space to sit inside, but if you’re lucky you’ll be able to grab one of the benches outside.

La Cabra

Loved this coffee shopping Soho ! Very cool vibes and amazing pastries !

3. My favorite fitness spots

Modo

My historic hot yoga place has 2 locations: one in Williamsburg (my favourite) and one in the West Village. For classes with good vibes, I recommend Michael or Kevin. If you want something very hard, go for Katherine’s 90 min core flow but be mindful: this class is very challenging and I only recommend it to advanced yogis

Bode NYC

This place is under the radar, maybe because it isn’t brand new. Do not go for yoga (they mostly Bikram), but if you are in for a very challenging workout, I recommend Hot HIIt with Eric or Hot Sculpt with Aura. Be mindful: it is extremely hot in the room, and once in there you can’t leave the room : make sure you are comfortable working out in the heat.

Skyting Yoga

For years, my NY Squad has been telling me about this place, and I understand why: FINALLY something different ! There is a really particular way to move at Skyting, and as a concept creator I particularly appreciate the originality ! Studio is super pretty so run and enjoy moving differently !

Yoga Space

They have one location in Greenpoint and one in Williamsburg. I don’t know about their yoga classes (because I only take hot yoga), but the HIIT Pilates with Jessica was amazing ! She is tough but funny (ring a bell maybe?), and you’ll surely feel the burn while having fun ! The space itself (Greenpoint location) is beautiful so that helps with the challenge !

Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time to focus on toning your abs and booty with a quick and effective fitness challenge. This 10-day, 8-minute-a-day challenge is designed to fit into your busy schedule and can be done on demand, whenever it suits you best. Here are six tips to ensure your summer abs and booty challenge is both successful and enjoyable!

1. Set Specific and Attainable Goals

Start by defining what you want to achieve during this 10-day challenge. Are you looking to strengthen your core, lift and tone your glutes, or simply feel more confident in your summer attire? Having clear, specific goals will keep you focused and motivated. Write down your goals and revisit them daily to remind yourself why you started this journey.

2. Create a Consistent Schedule

Even with the flexibility of an on-demand format, consistency is key. Choose a time each day that works best for you and commit to it. Whether it’s right after you wake up, during a lunch break, or before bed, having a regular workout time helps build a routine. Treat this 8-minute session as an essential part of your day.

3. Prepare Your Workout Space

Having a designated workout space can make your routine more enjoyable. Find a spot in your home or yard where you have enough room to move comfortably. A clean, inviting environment can make a big difference in your motivation to work out !

4. Focus on Nutrition and Hydration

To support your fitness efforts, pay attention to your diet and hydration. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated, especially during your workouts. Eat a balanced diet rich in lean proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates to fuel your body and aid in muscle recovery. Proper nutrition will enhance your energy levels and overall performance.

5. Track Your Progress and Celebrate Achievements

Keep a journal or use a fitness app to log your daily workouts, noting which exercises you did and how you felt. Tracking your progress will help you see improvements over time and keep you motivated. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Completing each day’s workout is a victory in itself and should be acknowledged.

6. Enjoy the Journey and Stay Positive

Remember that fitness is not just about physical changes but also about feeling good and having fun. Approach each workout with a positive mindset and focus on the benefits you’re gaining, such as increased strength, better posture, and enhanced mood. Enjoy the process and be proud of the commitment you’re making to your health.

Embarking on a 10-day abs and booty challenge is a fantastic way to sculpt your body and boost your confidence this summer. By setting clear goals, creating a varied routine, and maintaining a positive attitude, you can ensure this challenge is both successful and enjoyable. Here’s to a fitter, stronger you!

With unlimited access to tons of live and on-demand classes and the fact that you don’t need particular props, online barre workouts are accessible to everyone. So why wait? Start your journey to a stronger, healthier you with an online Brooklyn Barre® class today.

Introduction to Online Brooklyn Barre Classes

If you’re looking for a challenging and effective workout that combines elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga, and that you are on a tight schedule, online Brooklyn Barre® classes might be just what you need. My classes offer low-impact, high-intensity movements that can transform your body and improve your mental well-being, all from your living room

Musically driven and efficient workouts

One of the unique aspects of Brooklyn Barre® classes is the incorporation of music. These workouts are musically driven, meaning that the exercises are synchronized with the beat of the music. Not only does this add an element of fun and energy to the workout, but it also helps you stay on track and maintain a consistent pace throughout the session.

In addition to being enjoyable, Brooklyn Barre® classes are incredibly efficient. Livestream classes last 55 minutes, and you have tons of 20 and 30 min options On Demand, making them a convenient option for those with busy schedules. Despite their shorter duration, these workouts are designed to maximize muscle burn and provide a full-body workout in a short amount of time.

Duration and accessibility of online barre classes

Online Brooklyn Barre® classes offer flexibility and accessibility that traditional in-person classes may not provide. With unlimited access to dozens of live and on-demand classes, you can choose a session that fits into your schedule and repeat it as many times as you like. Whether you’re an early riser or prefer to exercise in the evening, online barre classes are available whenever you need them.

Physical Transformations with Online Barre Classes

Brooklyn Barre® classes have gained popularity in Paris in recent years, though they have existed in the US for 40 years. These classes focus on low-impact, high-intensity movements that target specific muscle groups, resulting in increased strength, muscle development, and a more toned physique. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fitness enthusiast, online barre classes can help you achieve your fitness goals, from your living room!

Increased Strength and Muscle Development

One of the key benefits of barre classes is the ability to increase strength and develop lean muscle. The combination of isometric exercises, small range movements, and high repetitions helps to fatigue the muscles, leading to increased strength and endurance over time. By targeting specific muscle groups such as the core, glutes, thighs, and arms, online barre classes provide a full-body workout that can help you achieve a sculpted physique at the fraction of the cost of an in-studio class.

Lengthening and Toning Muscles

In addition to building strength, barre classes also focus on lengthening and toning the muscles. The small, controlled movements help to elongate the muscles, creating a lean and toned body. By incorporating elements of ballet-inspired movements, barre classes can help improve posture, flexibility, and overall body alignment. The result is a longer, leaner, and a more graceful physique.

Mental Health Benefits of Online Barre Classes

Barre workouts have gained popularity in recent years for their ability to sculpt and tone the body through low-impact, high-intensity movements. However, the benefits of online barre classes extend beyond physical transformations. These virtual fitness sessions have been found to have positive effects on mental health, offering individuals a holistic approach to wellness from the comfort of their own homes.

Positive effects on mental well-being

Engaging in online barre classes can have a profound impact on mental well-being. The combination of physical movement, music, and mindfulness creates a unique environment that promotes relaxation and stress relief. The rhythmic nature of barre exercises allows my squad members to enter a state of flow, where they can fully immerse themselves in the present moment and let go of daily worries and anxieties. Plus, I like to think I am funny, and my little jokes will help you not take things too seriously 🙂

Moreover, my online classes provide a sense of community and support, even in a virtual setting. My classes offer opportunities for squad members to connect with me and each other !

But don’t take my word for it, hear it from the Squad:

“Julie is amazing. The best barre teacher I’ve ever had – you truly see results! Would recommend her online platform too!! Thank you Julie!”

Rachel, Lisbon

“I took my first Brooklyn barre class online today. It was challenging, but Julie was very encouraging and positive, I had a great time! ! “

Marianne, Paris

“Julie’s classes are exactly the mix of ballet barre and fitness workout I was looking for when I began over a year ago. Very sweet teacher that takes her time and loving yet punchy  attitude to help and encourage you in your physical progress and mental endurance! Highly recommend her workouts”

Online workouts have proven to be efficient, time-saving, and a more affordable way to workout. But some of you are still hesitant about starting an online routine. Here is a little something that should answer your doubts:

Variety of Online Workout Options

On The Studio +, you’ll find tons of different workouts for any fitness level and for any mood. You have barre, yoga, HIIT, and stretch videos, and even some back rehab and meditation.

Filters also allow you to chose “chill” workouts, for the days you are not feeling your best but still want to get a workout in !

Video durations vary between 5 and 60 min, so no matter how much time you can dedicate to working out, you’re sure to always find an option. I always say that working out 5 min a day is better than 0 min a day: well The Studio + helps you do just that !

Benefits of Working Out Online

Convenience and Flexibility

One of the major advantages of working out online is the convenience and flexibility it offers. You can exercise from the comfort of your own home, without the need to commute or adhere to strict gym hours, without making the line to shower or worrying about being late to work or dinner. You have the freedom to choose the time and place that works best for you, allowing for a more personalized fitness routine.

My world-class expertise from your living room

I am a former professional ballerina who trained at Boston Ballet and Joffrey Ballet. I started teaching Ballet in 2008. I became a certified Yoga Instructor in 2014, and a certified Barre instructor in 2015. I became a certified personal trainer in 2017. I did all of this in NYC, where I would teach over 30 classes to 750 clients a week, for the Fitness Industry’s leader Equinox. Let me tell you: I had some competition, and yet my classes were the fastest to sell out !

This unique experience is hard to match, and I challenge you to find a trainer in France who can say the same. So instead of going to someone who became a trainer out of boredom during lockdown, or because they can afford to teach 2 classes a week while their husbands go to work (sorry not sorry), trust that you are in the hands of a world-class instructor with 15 years of experience, helping thousands of clients with her uniques methods and expertise, all the while never having to pay for a plane ticket to NYC.

How cool is that, really ?

Professionally Designed Workout Programs

I create one guided program per month for my Squad members, all on The Studio +.

This 3-workout-a-week, 4-week programs take in account the need for variety, the lack of time, but also the season of the year: now it is Fall, and I can guarantee more comforting workouts that I chose this Summer.

These custom programs used to only be available to my private clients. Now you get to benefit from that for a fraction of the cost of a private session, and without ever leaving your house !

That is because my mission is to make as many people in the world benefit from my unique concepts and experience.

Will you help me in it ?

Squad Support

When you become a member to The Studio +, you get to join my Members Community and my Squad Chat. This chat allows you to get to know each other, ask questions, make comments, give suggestions, and everything in between. Sometimes, a squad member travelling to another country actually ends up meeting and making friends with another squad member, all the way across the world. This is what I have always intended with all my Squads, whether it was my original NY Squad, my Berlin Squad, my Paris Squad, my Lisbon Squad, and now my Online Squad.

Community has always been important for me. I love networking, and my extensive network allows me to know people all over the world and have the life I have.

So with my squad groups, I intend to give you some of the benefits of networking and being part of a group of like-minded people from all over the world.

This attention to community is also unique to me and the way I do things, and I think my squad members are feeling that !

Will you join us ?

Choosing the Right Online Workout Routine

There are many filters that allow you to find the perfect workout for you

  • Duration (5 / 10 / 20 / 30 / 45 / 60 min)
  • Level (beginner / intermediate / advanced)
  • Body part you want to work on (Abs / Glutes / Arms / Full Body…)

These filters were made so that you can find what you need at any time, making the platform adapt to your needs of the day !

Considerations for Beginners

I am very particular in my way to set you up in the positions, and I give a lot of verbal and visual cues. This allows anyone, even beginners, to be sure to do things properly, and is again the result of my 15-year expertise of teaching online and in person to many clients of different fitness levels.

Importance of Varying Exercises

To prevent reaching a plateau and to keep your workouts interesting, it is important to vary exercises. Not many online platform have the variety of The Studio +.

Being an expert in so many different fields (yoga, barre, training, and ballet), you can be sure that the platform offers a wide range of workouts. No need to subscribe to different platforms, everything is right here, and this is why The studio + appeals to both yogis, former dancers, total beginners, and people who just like to do a little bit of everything !

Progression and Consistency

Consistency is key when it comes to building muscle, and online workouts can help you maintain a regular exercise routine. My guided programs take the guesswork out of exercising by providing day-to-day guidance and a monthly calendar.

I work for you so you can give your best !

CONCLUSION

I hope this helped you see some of the many benefits of working out with me online, but here are some of my squad members’ experiences so you can see for yourself:

“Working out with Julie is always amazing, fun and effective!

I do both on demand and zoom lessons and I like it a lot. Julie is very professional, nice, and stimulate me to do the best. I like also the fact to be part of the international “The Studio” community.”

Valentina, Milan

“Amazing classes with different time options. Classes really help in everyday life. Even 10 min workouts make a difference after we do it. Great music, great mood, motivating and friendly atmosphere.”

What an incredible 4 days !

I am honored to have been part of the amazing group of practicionners at Harvest Series for their 7th edition, teaching my Brooklyn Flow® daily

Harvest is an experience that cannot be explained nor described, and that is what makes it so special.

But I can try to express the feelings you get from being part of a group of 300, in a place that is paradise on earth, moving together, trying new things, eating healthy, and listening to fascinating talks for 4 days straight.

The power of the group, the power of this break from every day life, the power of opening your mind, the power of reconnecting to your inner child … There are just so many ways in which Harvest positively affects all of those who participate.

I am grateful that my life choices have brought me to being part of this community. I am grateful for the trust, for the open-mindedness, and for the incredible memories.

If you have never been to Harvest, just know that it is a special experience that is worth living

If you think I am always running and doing 100 things a day, wait until you see me in NY …

My NY life was super intense, and it is no different when I visit. So I thought I’d keep a diary (more like a logbook) so you can keep track of my favorite spots, workouts, coffee shops, and more.

Enjoy !

Day 1: Saturday April 22nd

Morning: I started the day with an Oat Milk Latte at Copper Mug on Broadway and 30th street: service was super friendly and they use Oatly 🙂

Then I went to one of my favorite NYC studios, Bode. The studio itself is old school a little beat up, but I’ve always loved it and gotten my ass kicked. I took a HIIT class in a room heated to 40 degree Celsius (!!) and I rarely sweated this much in my life. You know how sweat-obsessed I am, so that made for a happy Juju

Lunchtime: After casually running into Ben Stiller, who was sitting across from me on the 1 train, I met a friend for lunch i the Upper West Side. Rosetta is a new Italian spot near Lincoln Center. They also have locations in Miami and their Nutella croissant is absolutely delicious

Afternoon: Williamsburg, the place where I feel at home. Photoshoot with Opera Place Studio . Even though we got rained on, we did get some amazing shots, which I can’t wait to show you !

Evening: Drinks with Ny Squad member turned friend Suzanne at the Williamsburg Hotel, and then Shake Shack for dinner (because what else)

Day 2: Sunday April 23rd

Morning: I started the day meeting one of my very good friends for cappuccinos at Eataly

I then went to Williamsburg to take a barre class at The Bar Method. The instructor was kind and funny, but I gotta say the class itself wasn’t nearly as challenging as Brooklyn Barre® 🙂

After this I walked around Williamsburg. Passing in front of the building I used to live in, I see a woman across from me squeezing her eyebrows: a former Equinox Williamsburg Squad member ! As we started chit chatting, I hear behind me “Oh my God Julie ???”. It was my 2 former doormen. After having left 5 years ago, I wouldn’t have expected for them to recognise me. So I ran into three people I knew at the exact same spot ! Brooklyn …

I had my usual NYC lunch: The Almond Butter Bliss açai bowl at Juice generation

Afternoon: I took a class at P.volve in Soho. The instructor was great and full of energy. The studio is neat knee cool. The class is a Sculpting class using resistance bands and weights. Not my favorite workout, but I loved the energy of the room and seing people workout in the middle of a Sunday afternoon !

Evening: I attended an amazing cooking class by Ciao Evento in the Lower east Side. I’m a huge fan of their events, and Andrea cracks me up every time. If you’re in NYC, you need to check them out ! It’s a cooking class, a networking event, and a comedy show all at once !

Day 3: Monday April 24rd

Morning: What a pleasure to teach at Elements ! I used to teach classes at their Hamptons location, am so proud of Andrea, the owner, for having opened this beautiful studio in the upper east side. By the way fasten your seatbelts, there are a lots of Andreas in this NY Story

Afternoon: I was invited to try a treatment by Ameon at Equinox Rockefeller center.

On my way there, I actually ran into my italian friend Andrea, the one who organizes the pasta dinners. What is the probability of that ? Anyway, my skin felt so good after the treatment !

I then went straight into a meeting at the Equinox Headquarters. I am always touched by the warm welcome, and so happy to be taking fitness with the ones who are actually shaping it.

Evening: I took a hot yoga class with Lawrence at Modo Williamsburg (my favorite yoga studio in the world). There were 50 people in the room, and boy it was HOT in there. I always loved Lawrence’s classes, but I also recommend Michael and Kevin.

Day 4: Tuesday April 25th

Busy day !

Morning started with a HOT HOT HOT yoga class called “The Fix” at Fierce Grace in the lower east side. I had taken their class in London, so I was prepared fort the heat ! Though I like that part, I am less of a fan of the class itself: it is a succession of poses without flows, similar to Bikram. And the teachers way is to push you, not necessarily in the most benevolent manner. Not rally my style, but I know some people love it !

Afternoon: I met with original squad members Eric and Carl near their Citi Bank Office. My first yoga job ever was a 6:30am class at Citi in 2014, and they have always stuck with me ever since. Very special moment together, where they talked extensively about why they enjoy Brooklyn Flow® so much. I was very touched

I then met a friend at Lucky Dog in williamsburg. What a pleasure to listen to live music (Louis Amstrong style) at 5pm on a Tuesday !

Evening: I went to see Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden. A huge an of his, it is the 3rd time I see him perform, and it is amazing every time. Always so great also to be at MSG: americans really bring it on, and the atmosphere is just so kind and fun

After the concert, I headed to Silver Lining Lounge (Lower East Side again) to see the talented Tim Young perform. WOWOWOW ! This was an unbelievable discovery ! I truly recommend going there on Tuedays and Fridays to see him perform: a real gift !

There was a LOT of Live Music involved today !

Day 5 : Wednesday April 26th

Morning: Coffee at Hungry Ghost in Williamsburg, my favorite oat milk latte in the place

I took The Class by Taryn Toomey, and actually taught by Taryn Toomey (I always do that when I go to NY!). What an amazing experience as always. When I see some people trying to copy her concept in Paris, I wonder how one can even dare doing that: there is so much creativity, research, and expert knowledge behind the class. The class in untouchable. Anyway

Evening: Taught my Brooklyn Barre class at Equinox 92nd, the first location I ever taught Barre at ! How amazing to be back there ! It was also special because one of my friends from New York City Ballet came, as well as another dancer i had only met on insta: love it when that happens !

Day 6: Thursday April 27th

Morning: Taught 2 Barre classes at Elements Barre Fit, and had a lot of fun !

Afternoon: I went to visit my friends Takako and Ishi at Mia Wagner Salon

If you are ever in NYC, I strongly recommend you make an appointment for a haircut with Ishi. He has a unique technique to cut hair, and he’s truly exceptional.

Evening: Utmost excitment: I went to see Aida at the Met !

Well, beforehand, I met for pre-show drinks at Bar Boulud with my friend Andrea, who is an amazing Soprano. Andrea and I met in Lisbon, but I was so happy when she reached out (she is rehearsing at the met for a few weeks)

Then I met my other friend Andrea (I know it’s confusing!) at Fiorello’s for another pre-show drink and aperitivo. Fiorello’s is a NY institution, and pre-show drinks there are the usual tradition. Often when I lived in NY with my dancer boyfriend, we would also go there for after-show dinner. That’s where you can spot all the artists, eating with their friends or donors after an exhausting show !

I then went accross the street to the Met to see Aida, the classical production. I can’t recall how many times I have seen it but it is always the same : an indescribable feeling and chills everytime

Day 7: Friday April 28th

Morning: Breakfast at my favorite breakfast place in NYC: Bakeri

Afternoon: Met with my friend Amanda at Jack’s Wife Freda, a cute lunch place that I used to go to in Soho

Equinox kindly invited me to take their newest Barre concept, taught by my friend Elgin McCargo. What a thrill to be back in this place ! Loved the class: my arms and butt were sore, and I felt like I got a good workout !

Evening: Went back to Silver Lining Lounge to see Tim Young, because this guy is way too good

Day 8th: Saturday April 29th

Morning: Breakfast at Partner’s coffee

Great moment again ! Taught my Brooklyn Flow® at equinox Williamsburg. So So So touching to be back in that studio I love so much, teaching my own concept. A special moment, specially because I had former client-turned friends there ! To see people show up to your class 5 years later is really something

I then went to teach a Brooklyn Flow® workshop at One Yoga House. It’s an amazing studio located in the new hip neighbourhood of Brooklyn: Dumbo. Please check it out while you’re in town (the studio has special vibes) then you go get lunch at Time Out Market 🙂

Night: Goodbye drinks at Shelter. I’ve always loved this place, which has great cocktails and is welcoming to big groups and ideally located in the middle of Williamsburg

Day 9 (last day): Sunday April 30th

Morning: I was kidnly invited by Equinox to workout, so I took great advantage of it and went to do some cardio and steam at their Williamsburg location (aka “La maison”)

I then went to visit my friend Fabien Desgroux’s exhibit in Tribeca (amazing show, you have to check him out!) and went for lunch at Citizens of Soho

Desert at Rice to Riches : the rice pudding (riz au lait in French) paradise

The end …

That’s how my New York trip concludes. Of course I have not mentioned the great encounters, whether they were business meetings or meet ups with friends. Of course this cannot transcribe the energy you feel in this magical city. I have not slept all week, and even now that I am back in Paris and 4 days later, I am neither tired neither jet lagged. Thank you New York for being so special

Going to New York ? Check out my favorite spots and let me know what you thought of my recommendations in the comment section !
